As there is no indication as to what the underlying database is, I cannot be specific here. If you read the EHP installation / update guide it clearly says the filesystems requirements for the SUM tool and also a separate filesystem for all the patches and kernel to be kept. For an Oracle database there will be a new tablespace created so you need to have space in the sapdata filesystems. I would say approximately 120 GB should be enough.

I want to install another ECC. So it is possible that, without using sapinst, if I had copied entire E00 folder from /usr.sap/..... and past it renamed to E01.So my question is can we perform installation in this way

You will need to make sure that you have enough space in the sapdata filesystems to create a tablespace called PSAPSR3731 for the upgrade. I believe the space would be in the range of 80 GB to 120 GB. Additionally, you also need to have a filesystem for the SUM and also for all the installation packages (SP's, Kernel etc). Something in the range of 100 GB to 150 GB. This would be temporary. Also, after the EHP update you will be dropping the old tablespace which I believe is PSAPSR3702 so you will get some free space in the sapdata as well.

SUM PREP_INPUT/CONFCHK_IMP DB to low
Hi All,
I am preparing a Sandbox upgrade of ERP 6.0 EHP6 to EHP 7 SUM SP14
I have checked /PAM and the notes from SUM SP 14 upgrade guide and I should be able to upgrade on the current DB, but SUM says

include change request - Is this for source or target release?
Hi gurus, In the enhancement package upgrade from EHP5 to EHP6, it asks to include a change request where we can add a customer transport that we created in development. We have a lot of transports that need to go in before the upgrade that were created when DEV was at EHP5 and a lot of transports that need to go in after the upgrade that were created when DEV was at EHP6. Which transports do I include here? ... the EHP5 or the EHP6? both?

Is it possible to upgrade BW with downtime minimized?
Hi gurus,
Have you upgraded a BW system using "downtime minimized" (now called standard mode in SUM)?
The reason for the doubt is this note 851449 - "Changeability of BW objects during the upgrade" which makes it sound like data loads could be impacted during the uptime portion of the upgrade. We are upgrading from 7.31 to NW 7.4 and want to use standard (downtime minimized) if that is possible.
