Hi Ram

 

You are right, i upgraded from 11202 to 11204 as preparation for the EHP 7 upgrade.

 

my environment variables is:

 

ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/NP3/112_64

and theres a symbolic linlk that point to /oracle/NP3/11204

lrwxr-xr-x   1 oranp3 dba         17 Apr  3 11:09 112_64 -> /oracle/NP3/11204

 

value for other variables:

 

SHLIB_PATH=/usr/sap/NP3/SYS/exe/run:/oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient

DIR_LIBRARY=/usr/sap/NP3/SYS/exe/run

 

i also installed the latest instant client at per SAP Note 819829

 

but please explain a bit more about extracting the oracle client in my exe directory. the note explains that i extract in the /oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient_11204 directory.

 

maybe i missed something

Ask your mail server administrator to allow requests from your SAP server on the Mail server.

Hi Steven,

 

can you check if you have below jar files from the client directory to exe.

 

ojdbc6.jar

ojdbc14.jar

 

Also do verify you have below SHLIB_PATH path as =/usr/sap/NP3/SYS/exe/run:/oracle/client/11x_64/instantclient

 

And can you give try with a oracle_home as /oracle/NP3/11204

You do not extract the Oracle Instant Client in the exe directory. You need to extract the client into the directory called /oracle/client/11x_64. Afterwards you will modify the environment variable for the <SID>adm user and restart SAP. The kernel used for EHP7 doesn't work with the older version of the Oracle Instant Clients.

Is the JAVA stack is portal as front end or to consume ADS services?

R/3 4.6C to EE6 Ehp7 CUUC upgrade

Hi Experts,

 

We are upgrading our R3 4.6c system to Ecc6 Ehp7 upgrade.

 

We are following below strategy

 

1.Upgraded OS to Windows 2008R2

2.Upgrade Oracle to 11.2.0.4 (as supported for upgrade purpose)

3.Running CUUC using SUM SP13

 

We are in preprocessing phase

MAIN_SHDINST/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/SCEXEC_ALIAS!

 

Here we are getting error as

We Tried below notes and Steps


2067086 - ORA-01017 during SAP Upgrade

400241 - http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/400241

1617976 - Case sensitive logon with Oracle 11g

2067086 - ORA-01017 during SAP Upgrade

1904239 - SUM options to change parameters entered in INITPUT and INITSUBST phases

 

 

 

We also tried below password combination.

 

1. Reset password as SAP in capital, using SUM and BRtools

2. Reset password as sap in small, using SUM and BRtools

3. Reset password as SAP12345 8 characters long in capital, using SUM and BRtools

 

4. Tried creating OPS$ user as OPS$<SIDADM>

5. Tried creating OPS$ user as "OPS$<Hostnmae>\<SIDADM>

 

6. Also updating SAPR3SHD password using BRTOOL command

brconnect -u system/pass123 -f chpass -o SAPR3SHD -p SAP

 

 

But still it is nod reading User password.

 

I have attached the log files kindly have a look

 

Please provide with your expert Solution..

Hi Anand,

 

Yes I did as per the note only. and When  I try to update using Brtools it is successful.

 

 

Also  I can login from SQLPLUS the issue is why SUM is not detecting the password of SAPR3SHD

Hi Anand,

 

have followed this as well. but still error persists.

 

The post is for EHP5 ...we are upgrading to EHP7 and may be SSFS here having some conflict with SUM

We have upgraded our system from ECC 6.0 EHP6 to EHP7. Now we want to activate various business functions in SD module. Could you please let me know what are are the business functions available for SD module, as you said,

enhanced functions in Customer Master Data, Std Reports and in Pricing. could you name them please..

Hi Experts,

 

Thanks for your reply.

I found the solution (work around).

The issue was.

 

We configured SSFS after extraction when SUM tool prompts.

The environment variables are

RSEC_SSFS_DATAPATH = G:\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\global\security\rsecssfs\data

RSEC_SSFS_KEYPATH = G:\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\global\security\rsecssfs\key.

When we tried to update SAPR3SHD password using BRtools it was getting updated at SSFS files located at \usr\sap\<SID>\sys\global\security\rsecssfs\data.

 

But in SUM there is always a copy of SSFS file, which is not getting updated by BRtools.

located at

Y:\SUM\SUM\abap\mem\rsecssfs\data

 

As BRtools was detecting files as per environment variable

 

 

  • Solution -

 

AS workaround we changed environment variable to

RSEC_SSFS_DATAPATH = Y:\SUM\SUM\abap\mem\rsecssfs\data

RSEC_SSFS_KEYPATH = Y:\SUM\SUM\abap\mem\rsecssfs\key


Run BRtools and updated password for SAPR3SHD which was reflected in SUM SSFS directory.

 

 

Note- Replacement of SSFS file won’t work.

 

Once the file updated we revert the environment variables.

 

This resolved our issue.

 

For Quality and Production system we configured SSFS before starting the upgrade.

 

If the content of

\usr\sap\<SID>\sys\global\security\rsecssfs

and

\SUM\SUM\abap\mem\rsecssfs

 

is the same then this standard setting should not cause any issue.

Retrieve the Deleted ABAP Code?

Dear All,

 

Scenario:

 

Under the one transport request there are 2 tasks created for 2 different user-ids.

 

Under the first task first Abaper start with the ABAP CLASS and Methods development and once its finish he released the task.

 

Its is still present in the development system with the task release state. ( Transport request is not released )

 

After some time second Abaper start with the same development again with the same classes and methods.

 

But by mistake he deleted the code present inside one method and now as every thing present in the development system he is not able to retrieve the old code from version management.

 

Is there any possibility to retrieve the old deleted code of method?

Hello Douglas and community members,

 

I have a similar situation with CRM Production Upgrade. I used the tcode RSTCO_ADMIN , before starting the installation status was red and then changed to yellow. When displaying the log for today I see many error entries.

 

All the other users are still locked as the part of Upgrade activity, am i right to perform these actions at this point of time only??

Transports imports from Old development Client(ecc6) to EHP7 QAS Client

Dear All.

 

STEP1: In this scenario all Transports are created in (DEV200),old version ,then these transports  are also released to (QAS300-ECC6) for precautionary measures before upgrade of DEV.

 

STEP2: Our Basis Team upgrade development server to EHP7.

 

Can we entertained all transports which are created in old development environment in new dEV- EHP7 environment .


how we entertained old version transports created in Old development Client to EHP7 Client.so that we take the same output for transports in upgraded client of Quality assurance server

 

If we import  transports via STMS_IMPORT in Quality assurance server ,is sap support ? this activity? please elaborate step wise
