Rajesh,

Like I said before you need to expand all the sub trees and find the one which doesn't look proper.

I know it is a painful process to go through all those entries.

I suggest to take help from an ABAP'er to guide you.

the issue is not the error. we had some file permission issues cropping up but the point is once that is resolved and when you hit continue it should moved forward but it doesnt it starts extraction all files from beginning even the ones extracted.

Hi,

Might be that sum tools is trying to find a file and is missing that might be due to the permission issues. So usually try to reset the Sum tool and start again.

Is it in the phase of extracting files in the directory /eps/in. Please also check that you are not missing any files.

Please dont mix issue . if you still have issue open a new post with full details..

Thanks

Rishi Abrol

Isssue is now resolved. you are not getting the point there are no missing files. only permission issue on files getting extraction in EPS/in and it gave error not owner we had to manually give permissions and when we conitnue it begins extraction again, so as everytime we got error the extraction would begin again which wasted a whole lot of time. this seems to be a bug to me.

Yes Because are repeating the Phase after the error .Its not starting from the point of the phase where it failed. its repeating the whole phase.

If you dont want this error why cant you just not clear the old file as a per step and start the upgrade with correct permission.

This error is due to all the system use one shared drive so you can also use a separate drive during the upgrade purpose for eps/in.

Hi Kote,

You can check the installation guide of SAP Netweaver SAP systems based on SAP Netweaver 7.0/ 7.01, 7.02, 7.03 for ABAP based systems

For Java based systems on NW 7.1 and higher guides.https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/%7Esapidb/011000358700001389072012E

Hardware and software requirements of Planning section will give you the details.

Re: Open entries in SPAU before upgrade start

Understand SPDD / SPAU need to be tackled as part of the upgrade. But what to do with any remaining SPAU entries from former Support Pack projects? Do we need to clean them before we perform the upgrade?

Most of the times the development team takes care of the SPDD and SPAU tasks. Is this in your case as well ?

For the items that are in the Tx SPAU will require an object key to get them processed if they have been there for more than 14 days.

If you want to be 100% sure then I would get hold of an ABAP'er to cross check them.

I would check the status of the objects in SPAU with this:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/ff/bc563cd365f646e10000000a11405a/content.htm

If as part of a former support pack project, a changed SAP Standard objects was delivered to which the customer had a modification and the SPAU was not cleansed, I assume the System would default back to using the new SAP Standard but not the modification? Can you confirm?

During an upgrade you have the previlege to retain the modifications you have made to the standard SAP objects using the Tx SPDD.

Hence if we perform the upgrade the system would just take over the SAP Standard?

An upgrade brings in new or optimized objects into the SAP system.

If you want to retain the modifications then you may need to do the SPDD on the system.

It appears to me that the ST-PI files are missing.

Can you check whether the ST-PI files are present ?

Hello Jamil,

The issue seems to be related to the error  " Add on installation/upgrade not yet complete. CRTs are required" .

Refer to the SAP Note  1037374 - CRTs for CPRXRPM 400 for the resolution.

Check this thread too: https://scn.sap.com/thread/1179905

Mudasir.

Hi,

I don't see any line in the logs that it says that about the conflict.

Only below lines.

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\51039102_13.ZIP' size 21598kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028879.PAT' size 21kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028881.PAT' size 19kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028882.PAT' size 19kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028884.PAT' size 19kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028885.PAT' size 19kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028890.PAT' size 26kB could not be recognized!

2WETQ399 File 'G:/usr/sap/trans/EPS/in\CID0020068250_0028891.PAT' size 28kB could not be recognized!

So would suggest just reset the tool delete all the files from the ERP/In and restart the tools.

Because if there is any miss match it should say like this.

Installation Package for add-on <(>&<)>1 rel.<(>&<)>2 does not exist

Thanks

Rishi Abrol
