Hi Selvakumar,
The value of the parameter login/disable_multi_gui_login should be 1. In order to take effect, restart the SAP R3. Also check parameter login/multi_login_users. This allows particular users for mutliple login.
Long running processes may be killed via operating system's itself. Give a try.

Need Very urgent help, upgrade is in process and we are in Preprocessing Phase - MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBOD_SHD2_RUN/STOP_SHDI_SHD2 step.
normally this step should take more then 1 mins to shutdown Shadow instance but from past 12 hours the step is not completed.
When checked in SUM/Abap/log last log was generated 9 hours but there is no error reported in log of SUM tool.

First of all, your system should be connected to your Solman system, in order to execute MOPZ. During MOPZ steps, you'll be directed through selecting packages. After you'll be able to download Side Effect report for your SP upgrade.
You can even think of patching your system not with SP14 , but SP16. SP16 is released on 28.05.
It would be better in order to fix known problems.

The issue was solved by killing the SUM processes and restarting the Upgrade and it went well.

Need an help regarding the SPAU_ENH.
I searched for lot of documents in the net. But could not get a correct response and solution.
Actually, I need to use SPAU_ENH for few enhancements.
In the case of Grey Color, I am not suppose to do any changes as I need to keep the existing version intact.
I mean, the SAP changes should not be carried forward. Hence, can you please help me as to how to handle this scenario where we need to keep the same version as it is without going ahead with the changes.
To explain it simpler, I need to just keep the changes as it is and activate the Enhancement.
Any documentations with screenshots are most welcome.

We have upgraded from ECC 6.0 Ehp3 to Ehp6. Net weaver portal 7.0 to net weaver portal 7.4.
after upgraded I activated fin_travel_1, fin_travel_2, fin_travel_3, fin_travel_4
however EP is on java packages BP_ERP5ESS, BP_ERP5MSS. all ESS MSS -personal information, benefits and payments work on web dynpro java.
But travel works only on webdynpro abap hence my display request form, display expense form, display ,edit, change travel request buttons are not working in portal. Please suggest a workaround for this issue.

Since you've splitted your ABAP and JAVA stacks, they have different DB and different system environments at all. So basically ABAP upgrade process should not affect your Java upgrade process. Of course it makes difference on performance, if both run on the same hardware.
Here is a note describing your case:

i need some guidance on recent changes for 4.6c installation on 10.2 .. if anybody installed 4.6c on oracle 10.2 or 10.2.0.5 (patch) or 11.2?
I trying to install on 10.2 but it always tell me that the oracle not installed. I want to avoid addition extended cost for oracle patch 10.2.0.5 if possible. Can we install 4.6c on oracle 11.2 (i tried but am facing the same issue described in thread 4.6C Database instance installation for Oracle 10.2.0.2 64 bit )?
before you say anything i am going through a lot documents and sap notes which at some point doesn't work as described; so thought to put this question.
Any help would be helpful.
I have to install 4.6c either way even if i have to extended support for oracle patch 10.2.0.5.

I already tried by setting the profile parameters as per sap note:1387739
abap/heap_area_total = 10000000000
abap/heap_area_nondia = 10000000000
ztta/roll_area = 20000000
and have also stopped and started the shadow instance. Still I face
thesame dumps…
I have attached the ST22 dump logs and related files of SUM for
analysis.

Also, have you tried to update the Shadow Kernel Upto most recent patch level?
Also double check those 3 profile parameters mentioned above that should be added to the instance profile of Shadow system.
