I have to correct your answer. I have encountered the exact same error today, upgrading to the same version, but using kernel release 741. The error is with the specific tp 741 patch level 15 and tp 740 patch level 37, as noted above by Sunny Pahuja. Your solution was effective because by updating the kernel release, you also downgraded the tp to patch level 13
